First taste of Christmas

John and I got our first Christmas tree last night! This has been a matter of intense debate...real or fake?!?! I won him over finally so we have a fabulous balsam waiting in the garage to be all decked out. I would have started the decking last night, but who knew how hard it was to get a tree stand in this town? We looked at Home Depot, Menards, and Target before giving up and just bringing the tree home. So my mission for today is finding a tree stand -- more on that later... :)

Since I was in a Christmassy mood last night, I had to get all domestic and break out cookie baking. I made a batch and a half of my most favorite of all time cookies -- melt-in-your-mouth sugar cookies. I even tried switching out half the flour for gluten free flour so they aren't quite so horrible for me to eat! And if you look closely, you can see where John came up to "help" by taste testing for quality assurance.

Oh, and since I forgot to put this up with the last post, our wedding pic proofs are up online at the photographers website: www.creativelookimagery.com/client . Enter the code 23584Pmontague in the box, enter your email in the next screen and then you'll be able to see all of the almost 1,200 pics from the photographers!
